Misty morning

Weather: Temperature 5°; light breeze from Vest (265°) 3 m/s. Visibility fog 1 km. Clouded 8/8.

With this misty conditions a few birds were caught.

Bird ringing:

1 Eurasian wren (Troglodytes troglodytes – Gærdesmutte - Zaunkönig),

1 dunnock (Prunella modularis – Jernspurv - Heckenbraunelle),
3 European robin (Erithacus rubecula - Rødhals – Rotkehlchen),
6 song thrushes (Turdus philomelos - Sangdrossel – Singdrossel),
2 redwing (Turdus iliacus - Vindrossel – Rotdrossel)
1 Eurasian blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla – Munk - Mönchsgrasmücke),
4 common chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita – Gransanger - Zilpzalp),
1 Eurasian tree sparrow (Passer montanus – Skovspurv - Feldsperling).

A total of 19 birds identified into 8 species. 1 of them was caught with the Helgoland trap (Blåvandrusen).

A flock of 40 fieldfare (Turdus pilaris – Sjagger - Wacholderdrossel) you could just imagine in the fog.

David Manstrup was caught in the fog too. At his place the visibility was good. We had a nice breakfast with Henrik friends.
